Our Management
From the outset, the
administration of the department has been managed by a board of directors. This
group manages the administrative or the business affairs of the department,
while the chief officers are charged with the management of operations. This has
allowed the operations officers to be free of the burdens of managing the
finances, while still keeping focus of the fiscal budget. Though these are two
distinct facets of management, there is open dialogue, and communication between
both bodies, which has been key in making the department successful.
Our
Mission
To
serve our community and its' residences when needed and called upon. We strive
to achieve and maintain the highest standards of training, and
have made it our
individual
and collective goals to react to every incident with professional,
sincere and courteous care.
Purpose
As our district has
grown, it has also become necessary that we advance in
our approach to meet the needs associated with the growth. Not only in the area
of equipment, and training, but also the need for committed and qualified personnel. A number of factors have brought the department from its' humblest of beginnings, to our current status. We are grateful to all those in the
community who have given of their time, and efforts to make the Hemby Bridge
Fire Department what it is today. We hope that our efforts will continue to take
this community service to the levels necessary to meet the needs of the future, and prepare the younger generations to do the same.
For we believe that what really counts in life is not what we achieve. or
acquire; but rather, what we leave behind.
